What counts as a metered event?

One metered event = one usage record you send to the metering API — the call that debits a credit or advances a meter. A reservation counts as one event, at commit. Entitlement checks and balance reads, sandbox activity, idempotent retries that dedupe to the same event, and webhook deliveries are never counted.

What happens after my free monthly credit?

Nothing breaks, and there is no plan to upgrade to. Every account gets $2 of usage credit each month (~100k events). Past that, events bill at a flat $2 / 100k, pay as you go. Running real volume? Talk to us about committed pricing with volume discounts.

Are there plans to choose between?

No. It is a single pay-as-you-go account — no tier to pick, nothing to upgrade. You only pay for events past your free monthly credit.

Is there a free trial?

There is no separate trial — every account gets $2 of usage credit each month (~100k events), free, with all core primitives and no credit card to start.

Do you charge for sandbox usage?

No. All sandbox activity is free and never counted.

Do you support SSO, SLAs, and compliance?

Yes — these are part of Enterprise: dedicated single-tenant deployments with SAML SSO, an uptime SLA, encryption at rest, VPC / on-prem options, and Datadog / Prometheus export, provisioned per contract. Our SOC 2 audit is in progress.
